Grocery shopping!
Hello everybody! I was at the grocery store the other day and while I was shopping I realized that it takes me forever now because I am always checking the labels. Also everytime I am at the store checking labels most people look at me funny. I mean I don’t care because I am choosing to eat healthy but does anybody else feel the same way? And another thing does anybody actually feel fatter being on a diet. I have lost about 4 dress sizes but for some reason I feel fatter. Maybe because I am aware of my body all of the time now. Just some ramblings for the day…
Yeah, I always read all the labels in the supermarket too, between trying to work out which stuff is healthiest and which stuff is cheapest it takes a while!!

Well done for losing 4 dress sizes…that’s brilliant! i understand that you feel fatter, sometimes it takes out minds longer to catch up with our bodies! i have found that looking at old photos of myself makes me realise how far i’ve come. and trying on old clothes that used to fit or were too tight that now are too big is a good eye opener too!
take care
Yah!! That’s great you lost those dress sizes.
I don’t shop for a lot of process food, just veggies, fruits and meat so I don’t have to do a lot of label reading. The more I read the less I want to eat them.
Way to go on the 4 dress sizes, that is awesome!!
I always read labels at the store, I have caught some people looking at me, but I’ve never been one to care what other’s think…
It’s important to read the labels in the store because that is the best time to pick something out that might be healthier rather than purchasing it, getting it home and realziing there’s too much fat, calories, sodium etc in it and then letting the food go to waste…

Funny, I shopped yesterday and it occurred to me that in the past I’d say that 80% of my basket contents were packaged food and only (maybe) 20% produce. Now, about 90% of the space in my basket is filled with fruit & veggies - hardly any packaged food… just low fat cheese, whole grain bread, meat. Amazing how things change! Yes, I do read lables and I find myself often frustrated at how confusing food manufacturers make it - it’s like they try to hide how bad some food is for you by making unclear portion sizes, etc. I think you should feel FLIPPIN’ AWESOME - 4 dress sizes is nothing to sneeze at! Good Job!
I was just talking about the pros of online grocery shopping, one of them being that you can easily look at nutrition info without wandering the store for hours, picking things up and reading labels. So even if you’re not placing an order, you can always use an online grocery delivery site just to compare labels. Some of them also give nutrition info for things like deli chicken salad, etc. that normally won’t come with that info on the label. Hope this helps
